As one of my friends said, if she gets used to 'Books of Pain' early, it will make trauma from something like Bambi easier to bear. :)

cook big pots of rice/beans/etc. and put them in the fridge so that you can easily toss them into salads and soups and stews or whatever, it's a life saver.

Yeah, I know, I have frozen stuff in the fridge also. It's more of a lunch/snack problem -- 'man, do I want to trudge to the kitchen or do I want to sleep instead' or 'well, she just spent the last hour and a half crying cause she had gas, and now she is going to be hungry in 10 minutes'. The problem also is that it's the wrong weather for soups and stews, it's like a 100 degrees outside. My mom kept making them, and I was like 'oh god, not soup'.

oh yes it's tough to eat hot food here at the moment too! keep lots of fresh salad veg on hand? there is also gazpacho-type cold soup - just chuck ingredients in the blender!

Yeah, I feel more like a human today, since we went to the store and got a whole bunch of fruit and salad-type stuff to make snack and lunch easier. I think I feel better also because I finally started moving more.
