I have an A in playwriting, an A in creative writing work in progress, a D- in ENG 555 and a B+ in Style in fiction, so yeah, I think I'm okay but whether or not I'm getting my degree remains to be seen. I'm lucky I didn't get an F in 555.

Do they do it by overall GPA, or is there some policy that grades must all be a certain level?

Good job on the other grades.

F is a failing grade. But well, the other grades are not failing so I should be okay with that. I hope. I think I'm okay. I was told today that my ENG 555 course was not necessary to graduate if other records show ENG 480 was passed. I tried to be an individual major at times among other majors.

Well, if it makes you feel better I graduated high school with a D- and they still gave me my diploma.

Maybe the one class won't affect you. Maybe they'll let you graduate anyway. Maybe they'll take into consideration all the other extra classes you've taken.

Ha. Yeah, I hope I've graduated even with that darn D that my parents refuse to let me make up until Graduate school. To top it all off a cool teacher is teaching that class this Fall.

I think it isn't because the helpful woman at school who took my phone call mentioned that I didn't need ENG 555. I could have dropped it, damn! I should have asked if I could have dropped it! I spent a useless semester suffering over that one class. UGH!

Faithless Juliet - I passed ENG 555? I had no idea a D- is a relatively passing grade. I took something else at city, ENG 1A, and got a D. They have an online version of ENGLISH 1A which I'm going to take in the Spring. I want to work full-time though to see what its like and make some cash for grad school. Oh boy.

Thanks faithless juliet. I appreciate the thoughts from you and everybody else. I think I'm going to be alright. I should have dropped that darn English class.
