Life Moves On

Well, I survived Session One of Camp CAEN with out getting fired or screwing up the kids too bad. In fact I think most of them did quite well and by the end I'd gotten the hang of teaching the stuff. This session I'm teaching Intro Java and I've got Julia coaching me through it. Which is very helpful, wish I'd had something like that for intro C ( Read more... )

Buffy withdrawal is an emotion I am really familiar with. I've been watching season 4 recently. I've watched restless twice in the last 48 hours. I see something new everytime. It's a lot of fun.

I understand what you mean about Angel. I had watched Angel before I got into Buffy. The show just isn't as good as Buffy. In my opinion, Angel doesn't really get better. It gets really weird when....well I won't spoil it. It gets lost and repeats itself. There are some really great episodes, but as whole it's ok.

So, I could talk about buffy and tv forever, but I won't. Glad to hear that the camp is going well. Enjoy the rest of Angel.

I'm feeling the same about Angel. I'm exactly halfway through Season One, and I still don't really care. I mean, it's a fun hour, but it's nothing more, you know?

I've heard it gets better in the later seasons, so I'm still hoping.

I totally know what you mean about Buffy withdrawal, when Chris Roberts and I finished the 3rd season it felt just a LITTLE like a phase of my life was over...which is weird because I don't even like TV shows much. It's too engaging for my own good.

Angel does pick up later on, but part of the point in Angel's character is it being detached... (as is particularly highlighted in the very first episode... I won't go into the details) He's a quarter millenia old guy with the weight of inumerable massacres and other such not-so-nice things upon his concious and all that jazz.

When Spike comes though it gets much better, they play off eachother very well and you get to see more of Angel's personality as it is brought more to the surface by Spike.
