These were taken just a little bit ago when I ran to get some milk from Walgreens. Our power has dipped a couple of times tonight so I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't actually go out. The winds are 30 mph right now, but it's still relatively warm out (28F). I think we've gotten about 5 inches so far and they say we're going to get 8-12 ( Read more... )

You went out in this?? Had I known, I would have just dragged you along with me after coffee. I ended up spending way more time in B&N than I had intended to, and shopping took me a while because everyone was crazy about the storm. At least you don't drive, though, so there's that. I've been watching it from my apartment, and marveling at how pretty it is. I'm just hoping it's all plowed by Monday so I can go places. But if it's not, well, SNOW DAY!! :)

Well, I spent too much time at JC Penny trying to decide what to do, so I did end up getting caught in the storm. After Penny's and ShopKo and Cub, I got home at 7pm- so it was a big mess. There wasn't much traffic though, so there's that. They hadn't plowed Mineral Point at that point and when I went back out for milk, it still didn't look like they'd plowed anything. I have to make it to the dentist on Monday. *ugh*

On a completely unrelated note: Someone from another building turned in my package to the office today! \o/ So I got my movie!

OMG those trees are GORGEOUS. And that first shot of the lights and the trees is making me homesick. :( Oh, I love a good snow. :)

Here's hoping the power stays on!!!

I love it when the snow sticks to the branches like this. I'll probably try take some more pictures tomorrow. :D

It's so dark by you! Here I have the same sagging branches, but it's much lighter. Is it wrong that I hope the blizzard cancels work tomorrow? Cuz I would LOVE that >:-D

Dark? Heee. I thought it was pretty bright for 11pm. ;) Is it really that much brighter by you? I can work from home tomorrow (yay!) but I have a dentist appointment around 2pm that I have to make. :-/

It's mostly making happy mistakes with my new camera while I try to get the setting right. I'm glad it seems like I know what I'm doing. :D
