My dad bought me a Uke in Hawaii! Hahaha...I'm excited...except all the strings are the same size...I'm not sure if thats good or bad. I'm going to tune my guitar then tune my Uke to the guitar (first 4 strings?) like he said and then I'll tell you how that went. Dont worry...there's still hope!

okay so here's what i know about string instruments: you have to keep tuning them for a couple of days so as to let the strings stretch and the pegs will stay in place longer. so don't fret, just go back to the man and ask him to help you again then make sure you know how it sounds when it's tuned properly. then wait a little while and try tuning it up again. and also, in my experience with strings, you should not leave them in the car because the jostling and the weather changes can really screw the instrument up. i know that in humid, dry and cold weather (which is like every weather haha) the instrument tuning will change. so! that's what i know about that..hope it helps and i'll see you soon..oh and have fun in boston.
