Thus far, new years has been pretty good. Came up to kirkwood CA late thrusday, got up Friday am early to go for a hike. Its been a long time sence i have done an alpine hike. so i packed a bunch of good stuff and headed up the mountain early. The destination was Red Lake Peak, just over 10,000 feet from a base of about 7,600 feet
