I didn't answer your poll because - without being overly TMI - I have had breastmilk as an adult and it's delicious. And idk about actual human flesh but if Hufu was real I would be all over that.

I agree in a lot of ways with your Sucker Punch review. I really enjoyed the movie overall. But I think there was a lot of Snyder thinking being ambiguous and using a voiceover was the same as being clever and deep. On one hand, I kind of want to really dig through the levels of the movie to figure out what it says or what it's trying to say. On the other hand, I feel like I've been tricked into thinking there are any levels at all.

But it was a very visually stunning movie. I really want a lot of femmeslash fic from it.

You seem to have enjoyed Drive Angry more than I did ;) But then, I don't have a lot of time for Nic Cage, and I found the casual misogyny a bit much. William Fichtner's character was TOTALLY worth the price of admission, though, he rocked so hard! And it did remind me a lot of SPN, very similar sensibility in storytelling.

I haven't seen the rest yet, though Sucker Punch and Adjustment Bureau are both high on my list. As is Hobo with A Shotgun. \O/

I'm revising my expectations for Sucker Punch downward, it looked so amazing! But I've heard similar things from several people, boo.

I haven't watched the Adjustement Bureau, but from my experience, almost all of Philip K. Dick's adaptations are absolutely TERRIBLE and have absolutely no respect for the original material. Dick has a very sharp dark sense of humor and loves a twisted ending and I have never seen that translated in the movies.

Bladrunner is an excellent movie but it's a lot darker than the short story it's based on (Do Androids Dream About Eletric Sheep?). All the other adaptations I have seen were sooooooooooo bad. Best example: Paycheck and Minority Report.

Long story short: read the short story. I'm sure it will be better. And read some other stories by Dick. He is a great writer.
