reaffirmation of our position

i have some important things to say. let's start with israel. "i want us to coexist" is not a noble thing to say. arabs who say this are cowards, zionists who say this are hypocrites.

bob marley: "until the philosophy which holds one man superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned..."

I PRAISE WAR.

war happens where something fucked up is going on. "peace" doesn't solve anything, "peace" in the sense of lack of violence anyways. when people are being oppressed, they will retaliate with violence, it's a simple matter of fact. that doesn't de-value the tragedy on both sides. it doesn't mean the violence is right. WAR is just conflict, the bloody details are unfortunate, but can we honestly deny that they are necassary ( ... )

i see what you're saying...sort of. i've asked alot of arabs back home, and seen alot of arabs on tv describing what the #1 root of all their problems were, and they always seem to respond, "the jews". this is really frightening, because for whatever reason, the people in charge seem to find it useful to create a scapegoat out of the jews. anything that goes wrong, the arabs point at israel. this is probably because the arab governments themselves are partially if not more responsible than anyone else for the problems plaguing the arab nations, and scapegoating has always been a way to distract people from the real issue ( ... )

you know i'm into nonviolence. you know whats going on back home is killing us, even the people across the ocean would wish it would stop. i don't think the war going on NOW is solving anything, and i'd rather have oppressive peace than that, BUT i don't think that is a good answer to anything. i think people need to create sides which make sense and stick to them. what i mean is having islam vs. everyone else is ridiculous, thats not what islam is about. having west vs. east is even more ridiculous, this planet belongs to us all, and we have no right to draw lines in the sand/grass or whatever it is where you're at. if the sides of the war were defined by ethics and philosophy, whats right and wrong, greed driven people vs. people who want the best for all, i praise war. this is unrealistic, but i can't seem to find a middle ground which is acceptable.

now that i'm a bit more clear, what do you think is acceptable? mindless conflict vs. a minority oppressing the majority for their own benefit?

ugh...

about israel again, coexistance is what we should aim for right? but its just that i just don't see how people can say that without addressing WHY there isn't coexistance. there are people and attitudes which need to be eliminated before coexistance is even remotely possible.
