about 7-8 years ago...a few weeks before i moved to cairo from kuwait we had this sleepover party thing at a friends house. it was the first time i had sat down and talked to my friends about god, religion, all that. it was a simple as one of the dudes saying to me "what if there isn't a god"...thats all it took to push me into atheism. not ( Read more... )

i agree whole heartedly with what you're saying love. if there's any way to live, i think it should be to live religiously and privately, whether muslim, christian, hindu, jew, whatever. the faith should be from the inside and not have to depend on as you said the product of a fallible being. i DO believe that our faith should come from ourselves, and our system of beliefs should be so strong that if we went to heaven and found a god that we didn't agree with, we would gladly accept hell. it should be independant of any motive or social construct, and be based on what we truely believe is right ( ... )
