I'm always so conflicted about Old!Spock/nu!Kirk. Because I want them to be happy and them together is just so heartbreakingly beautiful, but they're not quite the same as just K/S for me...it's mostly because TOS!Kirk loved his Spock so much...and IMHO, I don't know if nu!Jim could come out of the shadow of that (so much baggage and all)...but I mean people can love again...but argh...it's complicated.

That being said, this was hot! And a fun read. And I liked the bittersweet beats of the story. Thank you for sharing!

Oh, I totally get where you're coming from! Chances are if I had started this prompt AFTER my first Big Bang instead of before, it would have become a ridiculous, thorough exploration of what their relationship means in context, etc. etc. (that darn challenge ruined me for oneshots).
