Oh man, I try not to think about the depressing timeline! Yeah, it's definitely no more than 10 years they had together before WoK. And after that, I feel like it took Spock several years to fully recover his memories/emotions/etc.

I like your point about their love being transformed after his death... I've thought a LOT about post-TMP and that transition, but not as much about what happens after SFS. The impact on Bones and such.
