Thanks, Di.

I have to imagine that she herself might have been pressured by the others she was with to just get theri tickets and get in line for seating, assuming I'd be there immediately for whatever reason.

But then they did leave a load earlier than they said they would, which messed the thing up from the get-go.

Oh, who knows?

the least they could have done was call you when they got there and asked!

I just went to see superman today with friends and when we realized one of us was going to be pushign the envelope, we just bought his ticket and had it in hand when he came around the corner cursing about idiot drivers.

that's just how it's done.

your friend needs a good butt kicking of sense and consideration.

yeah. I honestly am not sure, in some ways, if it was her or one of the other two with her that made the push to just get their tickets and go in, but if (and that is IF) she wasn't the one to decide it, it would have been nice if she'd have done.. something to either get a call out to me or a ticket.

oh well.

Oh, that's just rude!

I'm sorry it was such a disappointment for you :(

Yeah.

Times like this have to be put into the balance with other times when you look at how things are between you and your friends. Then, you have an accurate picture of how the relationship is.

It's just always sad to have to add weight to this side of the scale in any relationship.

(hugs) oh, I don' t doubt that will happen- these folk are exposed to others' bad manners every day, as far as I can tell.

she had promised to take her boyfiend

Freudian slip, methinks.

If you could call them, they could call you. I'd definitely give someone a serious black mark for that.

Heh, no, she was taking her boyfriend and her daughter. I was yet another friend in this scenario.

And yeah, they could have called.

(The "Freudian slip" comment was in regard to the misspelling -- I'm still not sure if you've spotted it. ;) )
