Heh, haven't made any journal entries since before the beginning of last school term... I just never bother writing about real life. ;P
( Read more... )
and Paper Mario will be your 3rd favourite RPG! :D
I guess I'll try out Baten Kratos... I wonder if I'll enjoy the card system, and the pace of the game... battling feels a bit slow to me, compared to like, Tales, or Paper Mario, or MMBN, or even FF7. But oh well.
That was a pretty long entry. Maybe if you write shorter entries, you can post more often :)
You made Baten Kaitos sounds really awesome. Now I really wish I had given it a shot. Too bad I'm so busy I'd never have the time to give it a fair shake.
I think I too would love finding special combos. It's sort of like how proud I felt when I found a "combo" in battle in the Legend of Legia game (remember that?), even though in /that/ situation, it was all random guessing ;-)
Haha, 11/141, can you say "replay value?" :-P
I'm glad you ended up liking the battle system. Remember earlier on, you were wondering if the battle system was going to get tedious later on?
PS This is awfully self-centred, but I can't help myself. Another reason to play Baten Kaitos is because it has AWESOME MUSIC!! I have been seriously listening to the soundtrack for two months now, and I'm still in love with it.
(Btw, Duy, do you have any particularly favourite tracks?)
I still don't have the full soundtrack available to me, so I can't remember all the names and things... and I haven't listened to every track that much... You know me, I'd probably skip over hearing town musics and things. ;P
Let's see... of course I like The True Mirror (both normal and guitar)... Survival from the Force I've listened to quite a bit... I think one was called Imperial Dynamics? That became familiar after I replayed one dungeon three times to get everything (or most of the stuff) in it. ;P
Oddly, Chaotic Dance or whatever interests me. I don't know why, but it fits as a battle theme against at least one of the bosses that has that music...
The only of those songs that I can recognize by name is Brave Way, which I sorta like. Oh wait, Divine White Bell too, that's the church theme, which I guess fits the mood... Maybe I'll go listen to more of the game's music in detail sometime

As for the 8-bit dungeon and Gilgamesh title from Tales, here's why:

Probably not surprising, we pretty much assumed this was so, but yeah...
