Poking around the Merlin fandom this week has made me feel overwhelmed, old and tired

But it has so much potential for playing about with Arthurian legends! They've already messed up the canon so delightfully it's fun to paddle around in.

That said, I'm sort of dry on ideas right now :S

For me, this season will be all about Morgana and Morguese, being Evil Hot Sisters Who Kick Ass.

An (innocent?) fan has this synopsis for season 3 (not spoilery):

Uther's secrets revealed, Morguese/Morgana true intentions. More on Gwen/Arthur, Merlin/Dragon alliance against Morgana/Morguese.

So them there's the pairings. ^^ I need Merlin/Dragon fic. Not in a sex way, but in a soul mate way. When Merlin calls the dragon, it's fantabulous. Maybe we need Merlin's voice/Dragon.

Evil Hot Sisters Who Kick Ass I spy an excellent epic which is both dark and twisty and also hilariously funny. Now who could be convinced to write this *puppy eyes*

Also you could persuade me to Merlin/Dragon. There's definitely a future there, I think the dragon's just waiting for Merlin to grow up and become his wise companion.

Arthur is emotionally stunted and constantly is trying to tell Merlin that he loves him by insulting him/throwing shit at him. Merlin snarks back. It's really fucking adorable.

It's good to see that their relationship hasn't really changed - they are the same silly boys as they've always been :P

I'm sorry to hear you have lost the love. I have really enjoyed the start of season 3. The Arthur/Merlin relationship is frozen in amber, but the other characters are still developing in interesting ways.

But the real reason I popped by was to say,

I haven't seen the beginning of season 3 yet. I'm trying to decide if I want to. I will probably end up watching it and then writing again...
