That sounds fascinating and delightful and I am not looking at it before I start cooking dinner, because I know that if I do then I will be unable to prevent dinner from being late. But this is a heroic sacrifice, and I am very much looking forward to reading it!
Dinner has been finished (and the fridge has fewer leftovers in it than when I started; huzzah!) and I have read it and it was indeed well matched to my expectations -- I enjoyed it immensely.

I enjoyed it immensely, and there were bits that I looked at and thought, "That was well crafted." Particularly the way the "so that's why she sent me" moment hit like a ton of well-aimed dominoes. So, yes.
I also liked the slow thread about destinies being used as ... not so much weapons, but as targets for weapons, and how that all worked. It's a nifty and sort of creepy concept, as well as the way that figuring it out arcs through the whole piece from very beginning to very end, even more than the plot does, and some of the full impact of what Li's destiny being "burned to a cinder" really means isn't revealed until the very very end, when we see that layer of why exactly it is that all of this matters to Li.
Sorry. I just finished it a moment ago and seem to be gushing.

Seriously, though, I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to gush.
