(I posted this on tumblr last week, but completely forgot to post here too and rather keep it on this journal too. Imo, it's easier to find posts here than over there)
Uberhood Challenge (Sims 2)

I was wondering if I could use this challenge with a legacy spare that I have who could really use a challenge like this.
I would obviously still obey the other rules it's I won't be using a pre-made sim, is this okay?

As challenge, this is intended to be all about playing maxis hoods/uberhood therefore focused on premades, however as any game idea it can be adapted by the player. After all, it's just a game, and these are only guidelines. :)

This started as a game/challenge I created for myself (I play only with premades), but after a few people decided to try as well, I thought about putting together a few guidelines to play it. However it's mostly guidelines, not strict rules to follow. (I personally suck at following rules by the letter so why would ask others to do so, right?? lol). Just like it says in the post "All other recommendations will depend on how much of a challenge you want your game to be, so can follow them or not". That goes for things like simblender and cheats in general. Also for relationship building I recommend ACR which makes everything faster (or use a few cheats instead if you prefer to avoid ACR ( ... )

Well, about practicing I guess you don't loose anything. I'm no one to say, just do whatever you feel it's better.
The computer's printscreen feature only work with windowed mode for sims, otherwise it just screens your desktop just like you say.
As for the last part, this is all up to you. You could play Violet's household for a bit to make have the child there and then move the baby in any way you find convenient.
Just like it's said, this challenge only has a few guidelines to play and the only actual rules are just very few. Stick to premades, have one child per hood visited (ideally with a controllable sim from that hood of course), and make sure the family (your sim and all his/her children) remains together through the challenge (at least until they reach college age/adulthood).
How you achieve that, it's all up to you ( ... )
