...and all the other TV series seem poor imitations
I still haven't seen the new Lost episode (I hope to see in in a few hours though), but yesterday while I was watching the E.R. episode "Scoop and run" (13x09) I came across a scene that I can only interpret as a tribute to Lost.
Min 2.58: Abby, after using a rope to lower herself down from the helicopter, looks around. Notice:
- the background noise volume is much lower than before
- weird, Lost-like sounds can be heard
- the camera represents Abby's POV, just like Jack's in the pilot.
- different scenes in the background, with the survivors crawling on earth and out of the bus (though in this scene the survivors remind me unpleasantly of some kind of insects, while in Lost they did not)
and then, at min. 4.00: Hi, fake!Shannon.
So, please tell me: has Lost really eaten my brain? Am I seeing things?
