House is baaaack!!!! :D
Ok then, let's start from the ending.
1. I was (slightly!) upset, being hypercritical as always, while I was watching the episode and truly enjoying it (I'll get to the squeeing later), because I was worried for Wilson.
I thought "what are they doing with his character? He's not a doormat!" And while I could understand his calm attitude in order to avoid fights, I didn't like his passiveness throughout the episode. But then - I should've trusted him (and the writers) - master manipulator Wilson was back! Omg, that smile at the end... *giggles*
Now I can get to the review, starting from the beginning.
2. Ok - I've said this about SPN, if only for coherence I should say it again... This meta reference to the writer's strike leave me a bit meh. However, it was short.
Plus, I learned something new: is it true that people on strike have the right to delay other people (the ones that want to go to work) for 15 secs? That's a good thing. I don't think we have anything so specific here. If you are on strike, you should not block other people at all, but sometimes the people picketing won't let you pass at all. Not very civil, huh?
3. Then there's House, messing with Cuddy and other people's mind as usual. First shot of him, I was already grinning.
4. I loved the smiley on the whiteboard. Hee.
5. KUTNER! omg that speech about the curve and the outliers and believing in the existence of extreme jerkiness "which, I suppose, we do" was awesome! ♥
6. GO CHASE! House and Chase hanging out, bowling together! OMG. And talking about Wilson, and Cameron! *squees*
7. JOINT CUSTODY! This is fanfiction, right? Rigght.
Also, Wilson's perceptions are so skewed that he thinks House is being reasonable. LOL.
House saying "Or I move in". Awesome.
8. Cuddy as Salomon. lol again. And Wilson munching chips, enjoying the show? Priceless.
9. Foreman and House, about the review. "I'll do it" and then House smiling "I know". I don't know why, but it seemed like House showed genuine respect and affection for Foreman there, even if he was using him to do his paperwork.
10. House at the piano. I love the rare occasions they show him playing.
11. The whole "I had to take a shower" "Then it was my fault" made me eww a bit. I mean, I like Amber - she's a great character - but throwing those details in House's face? (I know, I know, that's how you should relate to House. Still...)
12. Wilson doesn't seem happy when he's with her, or kissing her. I don't know if RSL is genuinely embarrassed - which could be, but he's an actor, for heaven's sake! - or if he wants us to notice that he's not happy. I myself am inclined toward the latter. *grins*
And, as soon as she's out the door, House says an irrelevant thing ("Daddy needs something to drink", or st like that) and... tah dah! Wilson smiles. Aww.
13. The fellows. "advice is advice" and then promptly Taub gives Foreman advice. Lol. Each one of them had good lines in this episode (save for 13, but I don't really care)
14. House getting Wilson drunk. hee. Also, stuttering drunk!Wilson talking about his sexual prowess was adorably silly. I'm only disappointed that House didn't drive Wilson home - since he was in no shape to drive himself.
15. The big reveal: House has syphilis. My thoughts were: NO WAY - The machine must be wrong. (yes, I did actually forget about "Half-wit", but that wasn't House's blood anyway, I'm surprised that the ducklings made the same mistake twice!)
16. The fellows again. It was great, seeing all the 6 together, arguing and discussing. I also loved the little fight between Chase and Cameron (they have no memory though, since she denied about having slept with him a while back). I just wondered why none of them seemed fit to tell Wilson - since they obviously told each other, why not Wilson, who's House friend? Or maybe that was the reason..
17. House going to Wilson's office to tell him and finding Amber there. He seemed so upset that for 30 secs I thought he had syphilis for real (and why was he telling Wilson right away? My mind went in good places... *g*). Also, this time they showed only Wilson's back when Amber was kissing him. Maybe it's really RSL that can't kiss on screen...
18. Then, House finally telling him at the nurse's station. Oh yes. *squees* Only House can make Wilson smile and giggle like that. Only with Wilson, House can smile like that. ♥
Those shared jokes are one of the best part of their friendship. The mischievous streak they both have. And then, going bowling together! yay! (also, at first I was worried that was Wilson's blood! thankfully, no.)
19. For a moment, I felt betrayed - Wilson told Amber? But.. but... but then, his cunning plan to make House and Amber work together (and maybe sniff each other's butt for a while) was revealed and... oh, yes!
20. Last mention for Kutner again. He solved the case! Go Kutner! :)
*looks up*
whew. I typed a lot, didn't I? I'm so glad House is back. I love this show. :)
