House 4x15 House's head

I'm shocked and a bit freaked out for next week.

This episode pulled the rug under my feet and surprised me in a way I didn't think possible.
It was stunning, even if it makes me worry a lot.

(what follows is adapted from a comment I left in nakannalee's lj earlier)

I liked the initial scene with the stripper, I found it sexy, and I love how Hugh played it. Plus, his voice, all low and rumbling, made my stomach flip.

of course, I loved the hypnosis part with Chase and Wilson playing around in House's subconscious. Anything where Chase is competent and assertive and Wilson is once again possessive and protective of House is bound to get my love.

Then, it was very nice to see House on the bike again, even if for just a few secs. I love that orange blur. :)

And - of course - I loved seeing Hugh's chest. They tried not to show it *glares at directors*, but those few shots were enough. *licks*

Cuddy's scene made me a bit uncomfortable, even if Lisa has the body - and the grace - for it. What made it watchable was the "it's just a hallucination" part.

The final scene, with Cuddy making House breathe while Wilson was pounding on his chest to start his heart was so heartbreaking and powerful (btw - plenty of people there, do you think it's normal that are the Dean and a department head to do that? Of course I loved it, but not very realistic, is it?)

The memories of the bus crash, that scene with Amber... it tore me up.
And then, after House woke up... such a devastating scene. Wilson's face was so incredibly expressive: incredulity and denial, then slow realization, worry, horror, when House's words sank in. I kept expecting House to say he was sorry, even if it wasn't his fault (and even if he "doesn't do" apologies). House seemed horrified too.
It's gonna be a long, long week. I was not expecting it being about Amber - at all, until the girl mentioned the pendant. But even then, I didn't think she was the patient, at first.
I even thought the real patient could be House, but I wasn't worried for him (duh!).
Amber is a completely different thing, though. From the pov of the show, she can die. And Wilson will be thoroughly devastated (though, hopefully, House and/or Cuddy will be there for him?). I loved the episode, and I love the angst "during", but in the end I'm still a happy ending kind of girl.
I am (was?) so fond of Amber, and of her dynamic with Wilson... I'm so sad it looks like she won't be there long. It's just a matter of wanting to solve the contract before next season? I don't know anything for sure (and I don't want to), but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. *sighs*

As for House "loving" Amber - again, I haven't seen the promos (and I don't want to know) but I don't think he does, or that she does. He respects her more than a lot of other women, but for House "the bitch is a bitch". I don't think they will play with a love element there. It would be just wrong, not only for Wilson, but for House and Amber too.
I'm convinced House was getting drunk at the bar because Wilson wasn't with him - and what he said to Wilson only convinced me more.

*chews nails*

(wait! they are probably going to leave us with a cliffhanger, as per usual with season finales... that's even worse!)
