Lame admission

Boy, was I glad when we finally heard yesterday that the schools will NOT be closed for the federal holiday today. As nice as spending tons of time as family was in many ways, I was so ready to go back to the daily grind. Of course, now I am finding out that I am not so ready to work after all. Let the procrastination begin.

I just waved bye to Nandan as he went to "school". I don't know who was more happy - me or him. :) He was so excited yesterday to be going back to his school and playing with his friends. So I don't feel guilty. And Arpan goes back tomorrow. And my classes start on Jan 16th! :)

After working...(checks calendar)... 1.5 days of the last 9 business days (due to weather and holidays), I am so, so ready to be at work today.

Note that I didn't say "actually do work".

If you are lame, so am I. I would have cried had school been suddenly canceled today. (However, I would not have cried if work had been canceled. :-)

Yesterday I could be heard saying things like "only 16 hours until daycare opens!"

With a snow day Friday and a holiday yesterday, my kids were seriously wigging out due to the change in routine.

Brian just left with them. I am celebrating.

I was so glad C has kindergarten this morning and that DH is back to work today -- two weeks vacation is a little too much when we're not actually travelling anywhere.
