iPod question

With DH birthday as well as Father's Day coming, I am once again stumped thinking about gifts. DH travels a lot and likes listening to music, so I am thinking of getting him iPod (probably mini) to replace the portable CD player he sometimes logs around. Anyone has one, any suggestions? Also, other suggestions for F-day gifts especially would be

The minis are backordered for quite some time, last I heard. I would order one soon if you hope to get one for fathers day.
