Anyone on here still play Never Winter Nights? If so, what server do you play on and what is the basis of the server (RP, story, hack and slash, etc ( Read more... )

Still playing KNB on NWN.
They just reintroduced Tinker Gnomes (special rules and regulations regarding what classes/alignments and Gods they worship). It's been fun running around playing my Gnome. They have it set up that you can summon a little robot that follows you around and beats on things.

Sounds like a sucky work schedule. Sorry about that, Amigo. *Hugs*

So, as you know I logged into KNB last night to play for a bit. I forgot just how F'd up that server is. Everywhere I went I was getting SLAUGHTERED by monsters. Oh look, its a nomad in the desert...who gets 3 attacks a round at +45 to hit and does 70+ pts of damage per hit....WTF. Hmm...I must just be in the wrong area...let try these ruins, the mobs outside are pretty easy to kill. First mob I find is some half scorpion man who proceeds to quad attack me with +86 to hit. Right...so cant go there either. Lets try this again...Ooo look, a bug lair. I should be able to handle some bugs..I am a level 17 druid after all. First room = 4 bugs throwing fireballs, flame arrows and other general insanity, 4 HEAL spells and the death of my summoned dire bear and animal companion later I finally manage to kill the 4 bugs and make it past the first room. 2nd room was 5 "slicer bugs" who proceeded to tear my 300 hp dire tiger a new asshole while I ran like a scared little girl the other direction ( ... )

Although there's a steep learning curve to it, Ed is still a DM on City of Arabel. Low magic, low level, focus on roleplaying type server. The forums are extremely active, and the plots are fairly well done.

I haven't been playing much in the last month since my HP laptop took a dump, and Tracy's graphics card doesn't handle NWN well.
