Climate change is a red herring. Half the world's population will be dead from the coming oil crisis long before we've finished screwing up the planet.

Killer fact: for every calorie you eat, on average 11 calories were burned to produce it. Most of those calories come from oil: pesticides, tractors, transportation, packaging etc... Bio diesel is no use. If we switched over to it wholesale there'd be less farmland left-over for feeding us, thus increasing the need for intensive farming techniques which use...more oil.
