'Atta boy, Don! Now if he only had a baseball bat in his hand, I'd feel better.

Great action! Love Don and Dean working together to distract and engage. But, oh!, poor Sammy. Sounds like he's been hurt pretty bad.

I love the mention of the "ghostly pain of the needle in his neck reminding him of the need for caution." It makes sense that Don would carry that with him - both the memory of the pain and subsequent illness, and the fact that he screwed up and went in without backup.

I assume, since this is chapter eight, that Best is indeed down for the count. But I fear Don's troubles are not over. Since he did in fact catch the serial killer maybe Wright will take it easy on him, but when Dean and Sam disappear and Don has no informant to show, it could get hairy. It sounds like David is sort of in the middle between Wright and Don. He'll be glad when this is over, won't he?

Love Don and Dean together. You could write a dozen more stories with them and I'd be happy.

Looking forward to tomorrows chapter. See you then.
