After seeing The Dark Knight for the third time I have to say I appreciate even more all the little touches and the sheer number of themes running through the movie. A lot of it is done subtly and well, some of it cheesy and heavy-handed (I still find the ferry scene cliched and overlong). The action sequences are mostly beyond criticism, well

have you seen equilibrium? it's more of a visual treat, but christian is both gorgeous and seriously perfect in it, and he's pretty much the entire movie, so.

but you're right, he's the type of actor that is just... a perfect balance of understated and strong, so he really lets other people shine.

I started my Bale marathon already, beginning with Mio min mio (woah that was strange) and will eventually get to Equilibrium. It looks fun though, Dark City crossed with Matrix(ish).
