Looks very much like a panther, like here:

The dress looks very plausible, I agree, except those sleeves. They seem more late 15th century, don't they?

yeah the sleeves just don't quite look right, but I would say more late 15th century!

Sorry for my english! I think it is a fur from a Pantherinae (in German "Grosskatze"), maybe a Lynx (was in the end of the 15th century very popular) or a Leopard from Afrika (just because of the fur structure and color).

On this picture http://www.wga.hu/art/d/david/1/cambyse14.jpg (1498, Bruges, from Gerard David) you see also a fur from a wildcat. Maybe that will help you a little bit.
