So after nearly 30 yrs of doing things my way and just bitching all of the time, I have started taking amphetamines-- for the immediate purpose of writing term papers but possibly out of the weeds and into the rest of my life as desired. One thing to note--it is possible to 'learn' how to be more focused after using ADD type meds. Not everyone can, but for some people they can get used to the feeling of focusing attention, and are able to maintain that feeling even after stopping meds. It's a very individual thing, but maybe that will work for you?

*raises hand* I'm not entirely successful but my ability to focus is hugely better than it was before my year-long experiment with meds. (the side effects were... not so good.) They're far far better when I drink a lot of tea or coffee but they're much better than they were 5 years ago even without the tea/coffee.

I want to know why increased libido is seen as a problem. *grins* Or maybe we'll start hearing about this zany woman who's trying to pick up at bars by quoting Melville lines. That could be a problem. ;)
