How old do I look?

Seems like wherever I go, the consensus is that not only do I not look 23, the ballpark ranges from 16 (!?!?!!?) to maybe 21.

Not that I wish to look old before my time, but when you're starting out as a teacher, the last thing you want is for people to think you're the same age as your students.

You look 20ish. It can be hard to put a specific age on someone at times.

As for the kids, it doesn't matter how old you look, just that they know your the local authority figure.

I think you look in your twenties! I used to always look older, but I think I'm now starting to look young for my age like my mom always did. Yay! We get to look younger than we are for the rest of our lives; someday people will be jealous.

I fall in the same sort of category. I get guesses from 18-22 usually from older people. With kids, I can be anywhere from 18-45. They're clueless for the most part.

It is hard as a starting teacher, but as they keep telling me... someday you'll appreciate it! When you're 30 and people guess 25, it's supposed to be nice, or something. =)

My favorite kids and age related incident was the second graders who found out I did not yet have any children of my own, and then said, "You're a TEENAGER?!?!?" As if you have to have kids by age 20 or something.
