It's strange being out of India. Strange to be in a country that seems relatively quiet in comparison. Clean air, clean streets, and you can finish a day without having black gunk under your fingernails. It's strange not to have spicy foods anymore. No more tasty Biryanis or Tandoori chicken. These words are strangely endearing to me - for some unknown reason they seem to sum up all of the mixed emotions I am having about leaving Glasgow, about things like safety and nationalism in an unsound world, about family. The thing is, though, that there is no particular resemblance between our two stories, save to say that we are both in a foreign land (well, relatively). Maybe I'll meditate on the interpretation :) Have a good Israel-birthday and, by all means, don't go getting yourself blown up!

I think there's something to be said for wandering. In some way, no matter where you are wandering, the experience has a common aspect. When do you get home, and will you be home or straigh to Santa Cruz? If you're around I'd love to swap stories.
