So how many of you are going to vote for Sarah Palin?

I find it strange that anyone would vote for a woman just because she's a woman. When a woman is anti-abortion, anti-conservation, pro-drilling in wildlife preserves, and supports arial shooting of predators and doesn't think polar bears should be on the endangered species lists because their ( Read more... )

Yeah, I kinda see what you're saying. I'm glad there's going to be a woman on the ticket, and I wish her well in life, but I don't particularly agree with her or want her to be our VP either. Another thing, I highly doubt most women will vote for her simply because she's a woman. (At least I hope so.) Although I do feel that she was probably partially chosen as VP to snatch up the Hillary supporters, she was also probably chosen to get the evangelical vote as well.

Personally, I'm voting green this year if at all. I don't think this is going to be a happy next four years... :/

I would vote for a president because they are a minority when I felt like they could do good things for that minority that other leaders in the past failed to do. Like, say, Obama. I think the black community is kind of owed something at this point. That is a (small) part of why I will be voting for him.

To call Sarah Palin a feminist because she happens to have a vagina.. is... well, I don't have words for that level of idiocy.

One thing that excites me about Obama is that he's lived outside the US for an extended period of time. Do you have any idea how few presidents have done that? He's such an amazing candidate. I like him a lot as a person. I'm stoked that the first election I get to vote in is one where I believe in my candidate wholeheartedly.
