I guess its only a high-tax state if you drive a car and own property. And if you commute from Washington State.

Think about all the fees that are tacked on, that are almost invisible. How much gasoline is taxed, how heavily alcohol, tobacco and other items are taxed. A fee to get an identification card, or to get a permit approved.

There are alot of invisible "taxes" - I consider them taxes, others might consider them fees. If it is being taken out of my hands by a government agency (or taken out of my hands and given to a government agency), i consider it a tax.
