I really, really enjoyed this! From the technobabble and timecycle talk, Rose's insecurity about the Doctor spending so much time with Jack - and Jack reassuring her that it's only because Jack still has a test to pass - to that lovely final scene with the key, it's completely lovely :) So well-written, with perfect touches of humour and in-character dialogue and gestures.
He might be happy or angry, but what if he’s feeling, I don’t know, glomph? What do I do then? *giggles* Even though that makes me laugh, it's actually a very good point. For all we know, the Doctor might be feeling glomph. I mean, Jack could make anyone a little glomphy, right? ;)
And I love how caring and careful Jack is with Rose, and how fearlessly cheeky with the Doctor.
I also loved the description of the conversation Jack couldn't hear - you captured the body language perfectly. And the banter in the end is just sweet. *wants to see them in togas, too*
Ohhhhh! Now you need to write a toga-sequel with lots of body language.
(And thanks for the P.S. Personally, despite all the post-TDD stories already out there, I believe there's always room for more! It's just such an interesting time in their relationship. I wish we'd seen it on screen. Though, if we had, there wouldn't be so many fics about it, so maybe it's good they left it blank.)
I bet you’d look great in a toga. - And the Jack voice in my head has just added "I know I do."
Oh, I wish I had thought of that! Very Jack to say something like that.
I love the Doctor-Rose-Jack dynamic, and always wonder at the transistion from TDD to Boomtown, and the appearance of his key in Bad Wolf. Clearly much time has passed.

PS. really enjoyed your take on post-TDD, but I've already commented there so I won't ramble on here.

Ack, don't say that! I already have enough stories thudding around, not to mention schoolwork.
Although...I can think of a very good situation where non-verbal communication was required. *plots*

I love how you show that Jack's getting tested, and his "final exam" at the end between Rose and the Doctor. It's so true.
