I'm all for Izzie appearing in the last few episodes of the series and she and Alex getting back together (after Alex has had a string of unsuccessful relationships and just can't figure out why ;-)). In an interview from several months ago Katherine Heigl seemed REALLY passionate about the Alex and Izzie love story, so I think she might consider returning at the end to bring it back to life.

And if they'd killed Izzie off off-screen I really think I'd have stopped watching, because that would have been the cheapest form of manipulation this show has ever sunk to (and they've done a fair bit of that!).

An ending like that would be awesome. I hope KH agrees to come back for 1-2 episodes. Alex and Izzie deserve their "happily ever after".
