My Mom

My mom passed away today. She was at home and the nurses had just left and my aunt stepped out to the store to grab a few things, so it was just she and I. Her breathing started to change like the nurses warned me about - where she would take a breath, hold it, then let it out, and the spaces between taking the breath and letting it out got longer

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I just lost my mom this July. I think about her every day. The only consolation is, that if she was very ill, that she is not in pain and suffering any more. I am sure that she left you with good memories.

Thank you for your kind comments - sorry I'm so late in replying! I'm so sorry to hear you lost your mom as well... It is very hard, but at least we have memories to keep in our hearts. *hugs*

I still pick up the phone to try call her and then I realize that I can't. But my mother loved life and created some great memories for me which keep me going. I wish the same for you.
