Lovely to see you around again. I've missed you. I'm also sorry to hear that you are still battling the back problems. It's no fun getting old(er). I think I'm slowly falling to pieces myself, though I have nothing as delibitating, just parts of me not working that well anymore, LOL!

So, I'm mostly doing ok. Well, there's the little thing of no job come next month.... I'm very busy with my studies, so much so that I don't have much time for dramas (or much of anything else as a matter of fact) these days. My backlog is mounting even with an uncommonly many dramas left by the wayside.

I haven't read anything else but school books or study material for ages, sigh.

I think this is a payback for using computer so much for so many years. I am an optimist and will try to find a solution (even if it is going to take years :D). I hope you stay reasonably well!

Oh, what are you studying now?

I'm a fulltime student these days as I realised that some sort of degree would be helpfull in getting employed again. I started working almost straight out of school and never neded one before. Times they are a'changing... or should I say, have changed when it comes to job hunting.

Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration (Study Programme in Financial and Office Services) is what I'm studying for. :) It's accounting, payroll accounting and loads of all sorts of office relataed things. So yeah, it's a LOT of work at times. We just started the office services module today and it looks like a doozer. Especially on top of the new (more in depth) accounting module. Then, come autumn it's off to on-the-job learning..... I need to start applying for positions soon. Not a part I paricularly enjoy.

Oh, that sounds like something that is time-consuming nd complex, but with some decent job prospects at the end. good luck! I also don't like applying and interviews (who does?), but hopefully this will work well for you.

You might enjoy Tim Powers, especially The Stress of Her Regard (about Byron and Shelly and vampires) and the sequel Hide Me Among The Graves (about the Rossettis and vampires).

This is me on Goodreads http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/5244849-joanna

Sorry to hear that the back and leg pain is still bothering you. A reminder how quickly things can go wrong. :( But it's nice that you were able to reduce painkillers by swimming regularly. Clearly a win-win situation.

but I like baking in theory because I like cakes
Arguing in that way means that I like baking too. A lot. :)

Exactly! Please look after yourself. I must admit I had a nagging back pain for a while (for example, I didn't like to stand for too long) but I always thought it is "nothing". there are no nothings as far as health is concerned!

Hi! I have decided to add you because we have some interests in common and you seem like a pretty interesting person. Plus, I need to make some new LJ friends. I went on like a two year hiatus and now pretty much know no one. Heh.
