Kane-chan and Teeth

Dear f-list. Pals. Buddies. Fellow Kane-chan stalkers:

Have you ever noticed Kane's front tooth? It seems to be chipped. Do any of you know why or how that happened? Just curious, really. Clearly I spend too much time staring at photos of this man.

EDIT: Okay, I've gone through some photoset scans. Preliminary findings:

This is an interesting topic. Clearly we should examine his early photos and try to pinpoint the year his tooth was chipped. XD

So you did! Well done, Alex! So...2009, huh? Wonder what happened.

You know, the chip in 2009 and 2010 don't look that different when you factor in the angles. As for 2011...that picture could just be the product of photo retouching.

I dunno, all the 2011 photos seem to have a more pronounced chip. Or maybe it's because I'm looking at them in person so they look different? Or he had a new photographer this year...

I've noticed that too... If I'm not mistaken, it was chipped pre-DL7th.

Bahahaha! DO IT. I looked through some photoset scans because they had definite times on them and it looks like it may have been gradual? Or maybe he got a small chip 2009-ish and it grew as time went on?

Clearly more research must be done.

Okay, so I've looked through his blog. I see no chip in any of the photos where you can see his teeth full on. In the photo with Massu taken on Christmas, I can't see one either (2011.)

Unfortunately, there aren't any new ones of him smiling full on to tell. Me thinks he got it fixed.

See, I knew it was a newer thing (like, the past couple of years) but I didn't think he would have gotten it fixed. Huh.

I'll have to keep checking his blog, I guess.

Also, I did not know they could fix a chip like that. Interesting...

He, Kubota and Masataka went out, got plastered and harassed an innocent bystander into playing doubles. Bad tennis and all the euphemisms for doubles partners happened. From that night on, none of them spoke of it.

I've seen far too many pictures of Kane and Masa together drinking, and it put interesting ideas in my head. And Kuboob was all "Wanna play!!!!"

And then they had a model walk off.

But that's weird, I don't know if something like that happens naturally. I've got a tiny chip on my left front tooth that I've always attributed to getting a basketball to the face in middle school from less than a foot away, but it might be that I've always had it but just never noticed it until I stood up to a mirror to see if any teeth were missing/loose because of it |:

Yeah, I've seen it happen from accidents (like falling/getting hit/whatever) but I've also heard my dentist lecture about things like that happening gradually. I dunno. /shrugs

Ohhhhh yes, I noticed it too! But... never stoped to think about it xDDDDD Dunno, it seems like a natural thing, isn't it? Maybe is like you said and he clenches his teeth when he sleeps or something? o___o

But he looks as beautiful as always so... ♥
