... Is it wrong that my first thought was 'How does it wipe it's butt? And.. get with the self-luvin?' But HAH, it would look so funny walking, teeny torso waggling from side to side <3
Hehe, well, it will definitely be nice to see a bit of the world that your crazy cast inhabit ;) I sympathise completely with the bg hatred (if I didn't have a mild hard-on for architecture, I'd probably avoid them altogether). Maybe you could start with quick thumbnail sketches of scenes/photos/buildings etc that you like, without getting too bogged down in all that detail too soon? (which omg sucks what little joy there is out of it)

lolol... sadly, I know the answer to your self-luvin' question, from personal experience :C Its the only thing about chilly that I haven't come to love immensely

I think I'll try to do like you say, with a focus on the perspective lines or whatever, figuring out the skeleton first... as much as I like winging it that seems like too big of a concept to figure out without starting from step one ;_; But then, I get to mess with details which is fun XD

(.. That brings my list of 'things I know about chinchillas' up to.. one and a half :3 )

Haha, well, if you relish the details then go for it XD I find the perspective lines impossible to wrap my head around (plus I always need about 3 sheets of paper to draw all the lines/points). Are you going to go back and draw more backgrounds in or is this for the next chapters?
Oh, and I find having nifty lighting helps with backgrounds (hah, not that I draw many) - it can make them look really good even if they're quite simple (or if the perspective is a bit off, in my case :D ).

Yeah, perspectives = argh. Interestingly CS2 has this insta-perspetive line thing that I haven't really tried yet but maybe I should look into it...

Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely going to need all the cheats I can get XD

I wish I could offer advice on the BG thing but SAME HERE. (That ... so motivates me to work on it myself.) It'll be awesome watching you develop that (though admittedly I hadn't noticed a problem with your backgrounds, but I have an untrained eye for such things and one can never have too much practice under the belt regardless~ ♥ ). I do like the depth you've created in that sketch by varying the line weight.

ch-chinchilla with people legs wut?

Thanks XD Yeah, I tend to skimp on the bgs or only draw a few necessary details, time to bite the bullet I guess :C Have fun laughing at my upcoming lame attempts, haha

womchilla XD Ahaha yes, with the garters and everything!

Ugh, after that railroad tracks one point perspective or whatever something in the distance thing I start getting terribly confused. I have a book that goes over it pretty well, I learned how to draw stairs! But thats it XD I should probably invest some time in rereading that thing...

Did... did you just use 'hella' in a sentence??! You're californian now! Yayyy

The Pokemans! Let me show them to youuuuuuuuuuuuu~~~

I think the BG isn't too bad or a first attempt. I think though it would be better if you had some references from real life, say Istanbul or some other north african city? It seems to have a very middle eastern feel to it.

Those are smexy legs on the chinchilla. XD

Bwahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Oh Zhao! :D

Hai thar sleeping Luca~~~~

Thats a good idea! And I am drawing from North African styles, how good of you to notice XD At some point I'll be good enough to be able to draw a fucking bazaar, though that'll probably be years from now knowing my procrastinatory skills...
