I never really noticed it, but I like that you're able to pull off a lot of volume with limited colors - in the phoq sketch on the right, for ex, I love that the upper lip shadow color is the same as the shadow skin color and they sort of bleed together.
The feet on the last commission are so cute, haha. I like the teeth and the glasses shines on the first one, too! I've missed your arts :)
Thank you! With human skin I try to work different colors in but with blue or other colored skin it tends to have that gradient sort of look... I know some people like Jay Axer can paint a picture in black/white/gray then convert it to colors and it looks somewhat similar to what I have up there blah blah
But thanks XD I've missed your arts too, btw >:c I know you're busy making some, you should get busy posting them!
Aw thanks... haha thats what they're paying me for I guess XD I should paint someone a portrait where they're smiling without the eyes smiling and see if they notice.
I've waited so long to have an accurate picture of Lurp. Not being an artist, it's hard for me to provide decent references, and I've been burned on commissions before because of it. (Not the artists' fault, mine for not being able to give a clearer picture) But you've done such an amazing job. It's.... her. The face, the ears, even the atmosphere and expression... I can't stop looking at it.
As for the work you did on her burn scars... They look AMAZING. The detail... I would have been happy with down-to-the-elbows, so suffice it to say I am ecstatic over the end result... Truly, you deserve much more than I paid you for this ;_;
