AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH LIFE ON MARS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I think I followed it all. JOY. I feel as though my brain power has been multiplied ten times by just attempting to watch that show.

Verrrrrry minor spoiler )

I'm honestly not sure about the way they resolved the coma thing. I did like the double bluff of 'maybe he really is from 1973.'

I adored the last scene though - all of them getting in Gene's car. It rocked. Totally rocked. I SO want to see it again.

Yeah, I was interested to see how they would do it without it being the anticlimax of "Oh, he's in a coma. Right." But I think they pulled it off quite well.

The last scene was brilliant! I love Gene Hunt - did you know they're doing a spin off with him?

LOL! Life on Mars, I don't know if I like it or not. My boyfriend mentioned last week that he watched it and I laughed a bit, but decided to watch it that night for the first time. I thought it was a bit crap, poor script writing, overly cheesy, but I was able to laugh at it. This week I saw the adverts for it being the last one in the series so I watched it. I did enjoy it- it was more...intricate, more focused on him getting home, and Charles Morgan was certainly a good character. Only problem is- wtf happened at the end? Tyler woke up, but he couldn't adjust going back to his old life, then he jumped off that building and suddenly ended up back in the 70s, where he's suddenly very happy? I lost the thread of that a bit... But is was engaging.

I only very recently got into it too, but I love it. Then again I was born and raised on 70s police dramas like The Professionals, which Life on Mars is taking off in all its cheesey glory.

I seriously think attempting to follow the twists of that last ep has sent my IQ up 40 points. But I think the end was that he is in the 70s having mental problems... though that radio broadcast thing, saying they'd lost him forever, as though he had just had surgery in the present - that threw me a bit.

Still - so much love for them. Especially cos they're finishing on a high :)

Ah...I wondered that, that he was actually in the 70s but with some sort of amnesia/mental problems...very wierd, I got thrown a bit.

I take it there's not going to be a second series?

This was the second I think. Maybe third... but no, they aren't going to be making anymore.
