Is it bad that what I enjoy most about local elections is getting to the door first so that I can tell the Tory candidates that they most certainly cannot count on my vote ( Read more... )

It's not bad. At least, I hope not, since it's my favourite part, too. ♥

Haha oh yeah, or the Mormons. Though I feel bad being mean to the Mormons because they always look like such nothing people. Still, doesn't give them the right to make me get up from the couch to get them to go away. C of E doesn't go door-to-door.

I need to vote before going to work, then i'll be there until the polls close. Need lots of food and snacks to keep me going!

I haven't had anyone around at all, just a Lib Dem leaflet through the door. I've had plenty of people tell me to fuck off etc though! Though I'm sure you wouldn't be that rude :D

You'll be supporting the Dems I take it? Or don't you want to say... I'm in the work mindset of asking people who they vote for all night!

Meh, nah I'm not voting for who the Lib Dems are putting up here.

I can't promise I wouldn't be rude to you, or your equivalent in York (but I wouldn't use the F word, I'm a laaaaaady). Whatever happened to pivate ballots?

Ballots are private, but I can ask who people are voting for! Whether people choose to answer or not is their own choice! And I'm sick of asking now. If tomorrow wasn't my last day I'd be glad to get it over with, but it is my last day so I'm going to cry :(

I know, I know. Don't be grumpy!

Aw but think happy thoughts of cherry Lambrini, white stilettos and James. Good things, no?

I'll be honest, I always vote Tory (in all of my two chances to vote since I turned eighteen.)

However, since they issued my voting card for Liverpool and a street name that I have no idea how to get to, I won't be turning out. I would have voted at home. But I didn't ask for a vote-by-post in time, or rather I didn't get a thing on how to do it until after the deadline had passed *eyeroll*

Off - get off my flist. :p

Eh, Google Map it, that's what I did with mine. Usually I vote in Notlob, but this year somehow they've tracked me down to York.

I feel victimised for my choice of political party. I think perhaps I will make a poster in which I can whine about it to the general public. A poster with WORDs in BIG LETTERS and no actual content whatsoever!

(Can you tell my Hall has been papered with posters recently?)

*tosses the Scottish Christian Society leaflet in the bin*

I have two piles of leaflets, the serious ones and the humouros ones, I must say that the humours ones outnumber the serious ones (5) about 10 to 1. Pensioners Party, hello I'm 24 not 84.....

Will be buffing up on my party polcies this evening. If the SNP win I'm moving to France.

My housemates have shouted at me cos I've been throwing away all the publicity I don't agree with. So - basically all of it. Apparently I'm preventing them from coming to an informed decision. As far as I'm concerned, no amount of information should make someone vote Tory.

In Buckinghamshire, you vote Tory or you don't bother. It's just the way it is, we've been blue forever. And at least they've kept our school system working instead of mucking it up.

All it takes for evil to flourish is for good people to do nothing. :)

I haven't had anyone come to the door but as I think most of the politicians in my district are complete knobs, I think I will be voting for theleast knobbish looking one.

*gah* 15+ hour day tomorrow. Towards the end, I so will be clock watching and if another person comes in at a minute to ten I swear I can't be held accountable for my actions.

I am thinking of the council employees, I swear! I'm going mid-afternoon. Nice and sociable hour and I'll probably have to queue forever.

...I've never voted by cubicle before - always postal in the past. Woo, new experiences!

Queuing is a better alternative than having some poor poll clerk flip out on you :D Plus I don't know whethere it's the same in your area but here, 30% is a good turnout for local elections so I doubt I would have a queue of more than about 4 people when two families come in at once.
