I saw the M.D. at my chiropractor's clinic yesterday. He was sort of foreign and I could barely understand him through his accent. What I did get was, "Have you even seen your x-rays?" as he slaps the sheets on the lightbox, I said yeah but he turned them on anyway. I look like the hunch back of Notre Dame in the x-rays, my right side is slung ( Read more... )

I don’t even know what to say to this entry because it made me nearly fall out of my desk with hysterical laughter…and feel terrible at the same time. I seriously wish I could have seen that scene at the chiropractor’s office….it might have even been funnier than that night we spent at the ER when you feel outside metro. Oh my god I sound like SUCK A BITCH! I’m sorry…but you know what I mean.
Seriously, though, that is crazy. Did he have to be so MEAN?! What a psycho. At least you know they can probably help you and there are some explanations…like that you, apparently have extra/missing bones and are put together wrong entirely…
I feel badly for cory, too, but maybe this will schock him into getting help…?
Love you.

He was really blunt, I stunned by it. If you or any of my friends were there, you would have been able to read every thought going through my head, on my face ( ... )

i agree with kari about this entry.i guess him being mean is better than "i don't know whats wrong with you".or maybe it isn't.haha.

No, I feel that he did something that others haven't and I am glad about that. I mean, it makes sense, if you are shorter on one side, and weaker on the other because of it, it throws off your center of balance and from there everything is askew.

Oh life!

i just made a long comment, and lj deleted it. anyway, i'm sorry about all this! i had no idea your back was so bad. your doctor sounds like he's crazy, in a good/bad way (good, as in he provides great fodder for future lj entries). i can't wait you're leaving for greece in a matter of weeks.

and i know it must be hard to think about how corey must be feeling, but hopefully, like kari said, he'll be shocked into turning his life around. unfortunately, there's probably not very much else you can do.

Oh no, you just can't WAIT to see me go so you can have your boyfriend all to yourself.

My back-situation is crazy. Every doctor has said that I have a problem in my lower back that is caused by deformed (that sounds like a strong word) bones, but this guy acted like I have big problems, even though the lift he gave me was tiny and he said, "Not too bad." Hell, I dunno. He also told me that I need to build up my abs to balance my weak lower back. My mom suggested working on my "core" with one oh those balls. Ugh. I dunno.
It could be worse, I can't complain.

I hope it does shock Cory, but in the meantime, I feel bad.

pilates works your core better than anything else. it tight.

ps: this is the best subject for a comment...maybe ever.

damn. i hope you're seeing this doctor again. i had a foreign doctor once. he was pretty blunt about my smoking. he was like, "do you want a stroke? do you want liver cancer? it is stupid." i had a 102 temperature at the time, so it really didn't faze me.
