i just saw the most disgusting thing on the photography community. one girl posted a picture of an overweight girl's legs and wrote 'fat' on it. which is fine, i guess (if indeed the legs belong to the poster, then it's okay. however, if it's someone else i don't think it's all that cool to be calling the model fat). I've long given up on the positive/negative ratio of the internet. The other day I was scanning a forum about Deborah Harry, and every third or fourth topic, at least four or five comment posts down, would end up being negative or mean, and the negativity expressed by one poster to another just made any sort of "community" the forum might have seem arbitrary. The point is, people who spend their time commenting on the internet don't do it to be positive and shared their fulfilled lives (hence, the lack thereof is what brougt them/me here), and instead try to exert a means to gratification or higher self-esteem by things like the "gross" comment or the innumerable negative things people say.

Or anyway, that's what I think.

and, i agree with you. however, once in a while something comes along that really fucking irks me and i'm sick of all the SIF comments, so i've decided to come out with proof that i'm one of those THICKYTHICKGRRRLLLLZZZ and damn proud.
