Snake Creeps Down

So I have been doing Tai Chi Chuan for just over a year now. I have gotten up to posture number 73 out of 108 - though of course all my postures and transitions could be improved and practiced more ( Read more... )

I find Snake Creeps Down extremely hard... not that I find the other postures easy. When I was taking Yang style Tai Chi I felt like there was infinitely room for improvement. I really miss my class and wish that my gym offered one that wasn't during the work day!

is it changing how you feel mentally or physically at all?

Well, yes.

There are simple crude improvements - like being able to stand on one leg and being able to stand on tip toes. But my arms are also a lot firmer and I generally feel healthier.

It does very little for calorie burn and is not cardio workout. It mostly works on "inner" or core muscles.

But it is also very important for keeping me calm - and getting back to a calm state quickly.

But most of all - it is proving to myself that I can do exercise regularly.
