I find Snake Creeps Down extremely hard... not that I find the other postures easy. When I was taking Yang style Tai Chi I felt like there was infinitely room for improvement. I really miss my class and wish that my gym offered one that wasn't during the work day!
There are simple crude improvements - like being able to stand on one leg and being able to stand on tip toes. But my arms are also a lot firmer and I generally feel healthier.
It does very little for calorie burn and is not cardio workout. It mostly works on "inner" or core muscles.
But it is also very important for keeping me calm - and getting back to a calm state quickly.
But most of all - it is proving to myself that I can do exercise regularly.
