Some time ago I tried to create a loose organisation of people willing to do IT work for Science Fiction conventions, clubs, and similar. This did not really work in the way I expected but it had one success. John Bray, Chris O'Shea and myself run a Wiki "eastercon.org" which aims to help people attend and run Eastercons. You can get it a lot cheaper than £10 per month, assuming it's not very busy, if you use a t2.micro instance from AWS and prepay it for three years. Even if you want to keep it in the EU for data protection reasons, a t2.micro in Dublin will cost you US$166 for three years, plus a little bit more for storage and bandwidth, and the first year on a new account is free. That's just over £3 per month after the first year, plus maybe £1 more for storage (5 cents per GB per month) and bandwidth.

I should compare what I am getting with an AWS micro instance. My own company is after all an AWS partner!
