I'm gonna say it had it's good points, but fails to deliver many more. Zack Snyder did extremely well in keeping it faithful to the book, it was really the story that lacked, and that's just because you really can't tell the entire story in one movie sitting. It wasn't that bad. I'd still see it for the visuals.

I don't own the book, I was borrowing it from a friend :(

Well, I wasn't saying it was bad by saying I'll wait for it on DVD. Its just since I don't much about the plot or story. I'll just wait for it on DVD. I bet the visuals looked great though, from what I could see from the commercials.

2 hours, 40 minutes. and yes, things were cut out because there were scenes I've seen in trailers that weren't in the movie. They'll most likely be in the DVD.
