so last night, one of the local fraternities had a summer waster party. I knew a few people there so i decided it would be good for me in getting me out of my shell and mingle with people.  I met a lot of seemingly cool people. that was good. *sighs* Ok, it's your life, I'm not your mother, and all that jazz... but seriously, please be careful, dude. One, I don't want to lose a good friend to anything stupid like alcohol, and I don't want you to hurt your grades by getting wrapped up too tightly in frat life.

Do what you will, but I swear if I see problems start to arise from this, I will call you on it.

I know man, you have always been the one to keep me straight. I'm counting on you to call me out if I do something real stupid. You are a good friend.

Cool, then all I have to add is this. If you ever get into a situation where you've been drinking and need to get home, don't you dare get behind the wheel. You better call me if you don't think you can call someone else. I won't lecture or anything like that, I just don't want you getting yourself killed, or worse some mother and her 3 year-old child, due to being under the influence. I know you're smart enough to know this one, but I want to make it clear that I'd much rather I drove half an hour or what have you to get you at midnight or later than have you get behind the wheel if you even have the slightest doubt about your sobriety. Beyond that, just play it safe, make sure at least one person you know is at the party so the two of you can try to look out for each other. Lots of scum are out there watching and waiting to take advantage of someone who they know is in no shape to fight back.
