Mmmm. Book Vault. Do they still have a huge RPG section? I recall they had a surprising amount of rare and out of print stuff last time I was there (which may have been almost a decade back, now I think of it).

Regardless of how it happened, I'd be concerned about the door. Under the Tenant Protection Act, your landlord is not allowed to enter your premises without giving you 24 hours written notice, so if s/he's dropping by unannounced, you have a whole different problem on your hands.

They've cut their RPG section down a bit (half of the back wall instead of all of it, IIRC). I think they've also cut back on the number of comic books that they carry. Still a side wall from the cash register to the back devoted to them and whole volumes, but I have memories of bins of issues as well.

I called the landlord later after writing this and he said he hadn't come in at all. He's been quite good about giving 24 hours written notice, but these last two weeks I wouldn't have been around to receive it.

Right. Well, I guess if nothing's missing, you either have an honest mistake on your part, or some very particular thieves ("Man, this guy has all crap. Let's book.")
