Happiness is learning that 10 pages is the upper bound of the length of the essay that you're writing, not the goal.

Now I can work on making it as long as it has to be, and no longer.

10 pages = 2500 words? I've written newsgroup postings longer than that. Get to work, boy!

For reference' sake, my two posts on RPG Burnout combined are approximately 2100 words. They took me an afternoon, give or take.

3000 words is the upper bound that the prof gave. The problem is not necessarily one of writing, but finding all the necessary citations to back my claims.
