Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One

tri-Ace has just announced a new VP game for the DS! Info and 2 pics at Siliconera.com A few more tidbits from Forever Fantasy. Graphics remind me of FF Tactics/FF XII Revenant Wings and other strategy RPGS but no details about where it takes place in the VP timeline or battle systems and the like yet.

That's exactly what I thought that they would eventually do, put out something on a handheld to bridge the gap until they are able to develop for a next-gen console

Oh man, the Mists of Nifleheim slipped my mind completely! If that's the case, I wonder if we'll see a couple of VP2 characters that were involved in the MoN. I'd love to see a more developed backstory to Hel since her name's been flung around a few times. Who and where did she get that feather from? Part of Silmeria's rebellion?

If it turns out to be just a spin-off a lot of us won't exactly be happy (unless there's a few cameos- Lezard, Lenneth, etc). A new VP game is better than nothing, especially since we didn't have to wait another 10 years for this (although there's no release date yet).

I meant how Hel gets the feather. Unless everyone under the sun can sprout wings in Asgard, etc. The part about the feather changing colors reminds me of a comment made in VP1 about the color of Lenneth's armor. Can't freakin' wait. XD

... Oh great. I bought a PSP solely to play VP: Lenneth and now I'm going to have to buy a DS to play VP: The Accused One? :|

Haha, same here with the PSP. Fortunately though, the DS has a pretty good library of games.
