Back into the fray

Thanks so much to the folks who offered support over my last post. The funeral was yesterday. It was rough, but still a really nice ceremony. My dad and I did the readings, and my mom was a Eucharistic minister. Being active and involved makes you feel a little better, I think ( Read more... )

Welcome home! We missed you. Glad you were able to have a way to be active in the ceremony, I think that does really make a difference. Can't wait to see you tonight and deliver hugs in person.

I'm just catching up to the rest of the LJ world. I'm sorry about your Great Uncle and it sounds good that you took the time off. Many hugs to you for that.

When my grandparents died I got to do a reading, it made me feel loads better. You're right, being able to stand up there and be a part of the ritual, it makes it feel real, and gives you a way to figure out how to settle with it.

As for the young ruffians...good luck with that. I don't think they understand the meaning of the words "Kerri's Wrath". I'm betting they'll be bringing in apples and flowers tomorrow...or rather, they SHOULD.

love you and glad your back to your usual rhythm of things... I don't blame them about the wrath- i know how high those eyebrows of yours can go :) Anyway I'll be calling you because as usual things are in a bit of a dissaray and i need a bit of kerri sage-advice.
